Why We Built This Site
Tennessee law generally supports public access to court records, subject to sealed, confidential, and protected material. The harder task is finding the custodian. In Fentress County, the Circuit Court Clerk keeps Circuit, Criminal, Juvenile, and General Sessions records. The Clerk and Master keeps Chancery civil litigation and probate records. The state Public Case History system covers appellate cases rather than every local trial file. We organize those distinctions, along with official phone numbers, addresses, request steps, and access limits, in one reference.
