Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider operating that tool. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain or record those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be kept long enough to respond and maintain necessary correspondence. We do not disclose the message outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our systems may automatically receive basic technical information when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- The pages opened and approximate visit duration
- Your device and operating-system type
- Browser name and version
- The referring site, when available
- Your device's assigned IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They help measure traffic, popular pages, and general navigation patterns. Analytics providers may combine this activity into summary reports. Browser controls can block cookies, although disabling them may change how some site functions behave.
What We Do With This Data
- Route a search request to the selected provider
- Maintain site availability and performance
- Diagnose errors and technical faults
- Measure which pages are useful or need revision
- Display advertising that may reflect user interests
No Court-Record Data on File
We do not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of Fentress County dockets or personal case records. The site identifies official routes such as the Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, trial courts, and Tennessee appellate Public Case History. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party case profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted there is handled under the provider's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider controls its retention, processing, and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Fentress County Circuit Court Clerk, Clerk and Master, Tennessee court resources, legal organizations, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, that site's policy governs the visit. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising companies may use their own systems to observe activity across websites and select targeted advertisements. We do not operate those tracking systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be available in limited form to:
- Outside search providers that process submitted queries
- Analytics vendors measuring traffic and performance
- Advertising networks serving advertisements
- Government or law-enforcement authorities acting under a valid legal demand
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security measures are used to protect collected information. No internet service is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If we learn that a minor supplied such information, we will remove it.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with the law that applies where a visitor lives. Tennessee court access is governed in part by the Tennessee Public Records Act and Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 34, but those authorities concern access to government and court records rather than ownership of visitor data held by this private site. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Request access to personal information held about you
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Object to or opt out of certain processing where available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised as site practices or legal requirements change. A revised version will be posted here with its new effective date.
Effective date: September 6, 2026
